Formie has been archived since 2023 and is no longer actively maintained. This policy explains what information Formie stores in order to work, and what rights you have over it.
This policy covers the information handled by Formie, a Discord bot for forms, applications, and polls. It applies to people who set Formie up in a server and to people who submit forms or vote in polls through it.
Formie stores only what it needs to make its features work:
Discord User IDs may be stored in connection with forms, form responses, polls, voting, and related Formie functionality.
Discord usernames or tags may be stored alongside submitted responses where applicable.
Formie stores the responses submitted through forms it creates.
Formie may store images used in or submitted as part of forms and related content.
Formie stores the information required for polls and voting to function, such as poll options and recorded votes.
This information is processed and stored for one purpose: to provide Formie's functionality. Storing it is what allows forms to be built and submitted, responses to be delivered to the channel a server has chosen, votes to be counted and logged, and results to be shown.
Formie does not collect IP addresses, email addresses, payment card numbers, location data, device information, cookies, or analytics data. Nothing beyond the information listed in section 2 is collected.
Payment and card details are not stored by Formie. Any payment for the premium version is handled outside of Formie by the provider used to process it, under that provider's own terms and privacy practices.
Form responses are delivered to the Discord channel that the server has configured, so the people with access to that channel can see them. Polls created through Formie are anonymous to other members, and vote logging is available to the server as described in the documentation.
Formie does not sell your information and does not share it for advertising.
Information may be kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide the service, keep its features working, handle support requests, comply with legal obligations, or protect the service.
Because Formie is archived, stored data may eventually be deleted if the service is permanently discontinued.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the information held about you, including the right to:
Requests can be made through the channels listed on the official Formie website. Where a request is made, it will be handled on a reasonable-effort basis and within the limits of what is technically possible for an archived project. Some rights are not absolute and may not apply in every situation.
Note that content you submitted inside a Discord server, such as a form response that has already been posted to a channel, may also be held by that server and by Discord. Those copies are outside Formie's control and are covered by Discord's own policies and by the rules of the server in question.
This policy describes how Formie handles information in practice. It is not a claim of certification or of complete compliance with any particular privacy framework.
Reasonable care is taken to keep stored information protected, but no service can promise perfect security. Formie is provided as-is, and it cannot guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, or accessed without authorisation.
Formie is an independent, third-party Discord bot and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. Your use of Discord itself is covered by Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Any updated version is published on this page with a new "last updated" date and applies from the moment it is published.
